Make your own frog mask with Maria Gianferrari, author of Terrific Tongues! This whimsical picture book uses vivid, colorful artwork to highlight the fascinating ways different animals—from a woodpecker, to a snake, to a bat—use their tongues. It’s a straw, it’s a mop, it’s a sword—it’s all of those things, and more! Whose tongues can lick, taste, blow bubbles, whistle, and talk? People’s tongues, of course! After the reading there will be a STEM frog mask craft for the kids using cardstock,  crayons, and party blowers. Sponsored by the City of Fairfax Commission on the Arts.
